The Canterbury Angelman Support Group are a group of Families in Christchurch and Canterbury all who have children with Angelman Syndrome. We started in late 2006 with a number of families meeting together and in December had a picnic which at which 7 families were represented.

Our aims are:

  •  to provide opportunities for families parents and siblings to meet, network and share the journey of having a child, brother or sister with Angelman Syndrome.

  • to provide opportunities and environments for learning and education about different aspects of Angelman Syndrome

  • to promote an awareness and information about Angelman Syndrome  to those we come in contact with be it  doctors, medical staff, preschools, teachers family members, carers and the wider community.
